Free stream bank repair workshop on February 13

Join the Town of Black Mountain for a stream bank repair workshop on February 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Black Mountain Town Hall. This free, non-certification workshop is presented by the NC State Extension Bio & Ag Engineering Department.

Attendees will learn how to protect and improve the natural environment of streams by stabilizing a streambank. NC State University and other local experts will provide practical, cost-effective solutions using natural materials and native plants to create healthy, stable streambanks and repair small scale repairs.

This workshop will be how-to presentations and discussion only. No hands-on installation at a stream site. Participants will receive live stakes to take back to their own stream to use! This workshop is recommended for:
