Substantial Damage Assessment is required to evaluate the extent of damage sustained in the 100-year floodplain before floodplain development permits can be issued and before repairs can begin. Twelve volunteer inspectors helped us complete Substantial Damage Assessments here in Black Mountain.

Buncombe County announces expedited process for reopening restaurants
Restaurant operators should immediately complete the Emergency Operations Plan Survey for Food Service Establishments. Once submitted, an inspector will reach out to you to schedule a visit or discuss next steps.
