VOLUNTEER AND DONOR OPPORTUNITIES

How can I help?

Even as time passes since Helene tore through the Southeastern United States, the need for altruism is as urgent as ever. Here in Black Mountain, your generous spirit continues to bear witness to what has always made our community special. Recovery may be the hardest thing we’ll ever do, but recover we will because we are #BlackMountainStrong.

Volunteer

The need for volunteers in the Town of Black Mountain continues because relief and recovery efforts are indefinitely ongoing. If you’d like to volunteer, please visit our Volunteer Hub just outside the Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center at the corner of E. State Street and Midland Avenue in downtown.

Ingles Supply Distribution Volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed for the Ingles Supply Distribution center from 11am - 8pm daily.

Donate Goods and Services

Do you have goods or services you would like to donate directly to the Town of Black Mountain so that we may better serve our community? Thank you! Please email us first at recovery@tobm.org so that we can plan for your donation or direct you to volunteer opportunities.

If you are able to donate laundry detergent, pet supplies, camping supplies, and propane, please feel free to simply drop them off at the Ingles Supply Distribution Center during their regular operating hours. Visit the Emergency Assistance page for current hours of operation.

Financial Donations

There are many worthy organizations doing incredible relief and recovery work throughout Western North Carolina. Unfortunately, there are also less reputable ones. As you consider your charitable giving options, we hope you will choose to support the Town of Black Mountain. You can trust that 100% of your gift will be used by the Town to immediately provide necessities to residents in crisis as well as support future operational expenses related to Town clean-up and recovery.
