Trash/Recycling pick-up resumes October 21

Residential and commercial sanitation pickup in Black Mountain resumes its regular schedule on Monday, October 21, 2024. Please have your items at the curb by 7 am on the day of your regular pickup.

However, if your road is normally serviced by a small truck, the Town won’t yet be able to provide collection. Several roads are still inaccessible and cannot be serviced. Residents without service can bring bagged household trash to the nearest main road on their scheduled pickup day and leave for pickup.

Dumpster Availability

Dumpsters are still available for household trash in the public parking lot on Terry Estate Drive. Dumpsters are for Black Mountain residents only. Place all bags inside the dumpsters and DO NOT overfill.

The dumpsters at Ingles are no longer available.

Debris and Bulk Item Removal

The Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) will soon assist the town with removing storm debris, yard waste and bulk items. Residents can begin placing storm debris near their roads.

If you have questions about sanitation pickup, call the Town at 828-419-9300, option 4.

Fire Danger is High!

DO NOT burn brush or waste within the Town limits. Fire danger has increased and is a serious hazard.
